Read this page before using Zimdays...

Welcome to Zimdays. Before using the site and all its facilities, we urge you to read this page. Outlined here is the spirit of the Zimdays community and the online conduct you are expected to adhere to.

The Zimdays standard of conduct is strictly enforced. This ensures that you and we are protected and helps us maintain a pleasant online enviroment. You can also read again our current terms and conditions which you accepted when you joined Zimdays.

The Spirit of the Zimdays Community

  • We believe that all Zimbabwean people are created equal regardless of gender, race, creed or political persuasion. It is our policy to strictly uphold this principle at all times. We would encourage you to seriously consider if this site is suitable for you if you hold extreme views for/against any races, gender, creed or political persuations.
  • The site is purely an entertainment nostalgia and reunion site. It is not a political discussion forum. This means that rather than post your opinion about a government policy or political party, tell us about your experiences as a result of that policy, goverment or political party. For example tell us your personal experiences as a result of the land redistribution of the 2000s; UDI and Ian Smith in the 1960s and 1970s and so on. What was your life like? How did your life change? Describe the times in great detail. We all have a personal story to tell - this is your chance to tell yours! Zimdays is unique because it is here to record your experiences (good and bad), which are very interesting to those who did not experience them, those who came before you.. and those that will come after you.
  • Zimdays.com does not represent any Zimbabwean political party (past, present or future), we hold no allegiances to any political organisation whatsoever.
  • You will find some use of colonial names at this site. This is purely for historical reasons. The use of colonial names in the text at Zimdays.com does not reflect political or other allegiances or views.
  • We have attempted to present Zimbabwes history without any racial bias. Our attempt has been hampered due to the quantity (and quality) of material recorded about various groups of our society over various periods in our history. So again, take the opportunity to tell your story.
  • The information contained at Zimdays has been researched and verified as rigorously as possible with the resources available. Zimdays is not an academic site and exists to provide insight, entertainment and a journalistic overview.
  • Zimdays exists to encourage you to start your own journey into learning about your Zimbabwean origins. We do not presume to be leading historians or anthropologists. If you would like to comment or correct anything from an expert eye – please feel free to contact us.
